Wittenberg鈥檚 Department of Athletics and Recreation is excited to host a special Trick-or-Treat event for the Springfield community on Monday, Oct. 27, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at The Steemer, the 麻豆传媒团队 state-of-the-art indoor practice facility, located at 250 Bill Edwards Dr., inside the Health, Wellness & Athletics (HWA) Complex.
Open to all Wittenberg and Springfield community members, the popular event provides children ages 12 and under an opportunity to walk around The Steemer visiting different stations with candy, games, and other activities. Participants are asked to enter at the main HWA doors.
Students representing Wittenberg's intercollegiate athletics teams and other campus organizations will be on hand giving out treats to children wearing the best and brightest Halloween costumes. The first 50 children to register will receive a souvenir bag upon entry.
鈥淲e started the Trick-or-Treat event as an initiative to find ways to involve the Springfield community in Wittenberg and Wittenberg Athletics,鈥 said Katie Robinson, assistant director of athletics for internal operations and the head coach of the women鈥檚 soccer team. 鈥淭his creates a great experience for families within Springfield and for our student-athletes, allowing them a chance to give back. We love having the opportunity to show these young kids what a future in college could look like for them, all while having fun, playing games, and collecting lots of candy!鈥
