Alumni Excellence
Thrilled to recognize excellence among its more than 26,000 alumni, the Alumni Association honored six individuals with special distinctions during Homecoming, Reunion, and Family Weekend. Awards were presented to Associate Professor of English D. Scot Hinson, Haley Mucha Domenick '16, Taylor Brown Pumroy '20, Drew Sykes '11, Clifford "Cliff" Pope '92, and Johnny Pryor, J.D. '99, who was named Alumnus of the Year.
On the Wittenberg Way
Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends will join in celebrating the Inauguration of Dr. Christian M.M. Brady, at 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 17, in Weaver Chapel. Dr. Brady鈥檚 presidency marks an exciting new chapter at the University 鈥� one rooted in the liberal arts tradition yet aimed toward a bold, meaningful future on the Wittenberg Way. To complement the Inauguration, several events are being planned Oct. 15-19. Those planning to attend the Inauguration ceremony .

A Week for Witt brings together Tigers everywhere, including alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends spotlighting what makes the Wittenberg experience truly transformative. The week is especially meaningful as we gather together for the inauguration of Dr. Christian M. M. Brady. Throughout the week, we鈥檒l shine a light on several key areas: Presidential Initiatives, Scholarship Support, Experiential Learning, Athletics, The Wittenberg Fund, and more. Each area represents an essential part of the Wittenberg story, and every gift 鈥� no matter the size 鈥� fuels opportunities for our students while strengthening the University we love. Your support ensures Wittenberg continues to provide an exceptional, student-centered education and vibrant campus experience.
Spotlight on Student Internships
Nursing major Cadence Boyd '26 from Cincinnati, Ohio, interned in the Cincinnati Veteran鈥檚 Affairs Hospital in the VA Student Trainee Experience Program, which allowed her to practice the nursing skills she has learned at Wittenberg.
Zach Rust '26, a double major in data science and business management from Dublin, Ohio, developed his analytics and reporting capabilities through a summer internship as a retail sales analyst at T. Marzetti Company in Columbus.

Service in Lesotho
This summer, eight nursing students and two nursing alumni accompanied H.O. Hirt Professor of History Scott Rosenberg on a service-learning trip to the southern African Kingdom of Lesotho. The group fed babies and conducted food assessments at Touching Tiny Lives, shadowed Lesotho nurses in a rural clinic, built a house with Habitat, and assisted at an AIDS clinic.
Student Alumni Association
The Student Alumni Association (SAA) at Wittenberg is committed to nurturing the connection between past, present, and future Tigers. As SAA President Shelby White shares, 鈥淭he Student Alumni Association builds bridges between Tigers past, present, and future while fostering a culture of philanthropy, pride, and lifelong loyalty to Wittenberg. Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger!鈥�
Through events and programs that connect students with alumni, SAA helps cultivate a lasting sense of community and a spirit of giving that extends far beyond graduation. Members serve as ambassadors for Wittenberg pride, celebrating traditions while preparing to carry the Tiger legacy forward.
On October 29, and a lively evening of fun, fellowship, and Tiger spirit. Alumni, students, faculty, and staff are all invited to come together, test their trivia knowledge, and support SAA鈥檚 mission of keeping the Wittenberg community strong.
Alumni Referral Program: Refer a Future Tiger!
When you refer a high school student to the Office of Admission, that student will receive a $1,250 scholarship for each of four years for a total of $5,000, if accepted for admission. Who should you refer? Friends, family, relatives, neighbors, community members, church members 鈥� any student you think would make a great Wittenberg Tiger! Current high schools seniors must be nominated by Jan. 1, 2026 to be eligible.
Heartfelt Thanks
We鈥檙e grateful to the hundreds of alumni and friends who supported Wittenberg as members of the Benjamin Prince Society (BPS) this past fiscal year. Named for the beloved teacher, scholar, and servant-leader who worked at Wittenberg for 69 years, the BPS honors individuals who have shown uncommon commitment to Wittenberg鈥檚 academic excellence through their annual support. Membership in the society is tiered to make it accessible to all. As we begin a new fiscal year, we invite you to join the Benjamin Prince Society.
